The audience were fascinated by Dr Wade taking them on a journey in the world of carbon-based (organic) small molecules and polymers.

Under the right circumstances, they can act as semiconductors which we are using to make novel electronic devices: solar panels, light emitting diodes, biological sensors, stretchable screens, conductive thread and stick-on glucose sensors.
