Hosted by the Society for Computers and Law (SCL*), this mid-week event was opened up to Friends of Imperial College as special guests. It is a prelude to an event we will co-host as part of our new 20/21 programme of events to be released late September.

Dr Timothy Constandinou is Reader in Neural Microsystems at Imperial College London and also Deputy Director of the Centre for Bio-inspired Technology.

Dr Constandinou leads the Next Generation Neural Interfaces (NGNI) Lab at Imperial College. His group creates innovative neurotechnologies to enable communication between the nervous system and electronic devices. He will provide an update on the NGNI lab research and explore the benefits and applications of this novel application of micro-electronics.

The lab's work hit the news in September 2019, with the publication of the Royal Society review - iHuman

SCL ‘Tea & Tech’ meetings are informal drop-in discussions similar to Friends fireside chats.

You can view the recording of this fireside chat next Friday on our YouTube channel!

* SCL is a registered educational charity whose mission is to inform and educate legal and technology professionals; academics and students; the wider audience on the impact of IT on law and legal practice through the promotion of best practice, thought leadership, and the fostering of a global tech law community.
