Personal Information we Process

Friends of Imperial College as a charitable organisation use, retain and protect your personal Information in order to further the purposes of the charity.
The details of why and how we do this are set out in our Privacy Statement.

Communicating with you

If you book tickets on our website then we will communicate with you by email to inform you of the progress of your purchase, remind you to make payment, confirm payment and alert you to any changes to the event

If you become a member and make a subscription we will communicate with you by email to inform you of the progress of your purchase, remind you to make payment and confirm payment. We will also send in the post your membership card and a copy of the printed programme for the academic year.

Friends would like to send you promotional material about our events and occasionally about events at other organisations where the Trustees consider Friends would be interesteg. eg the Film on Antartica at the National Geographical Society - where a number of Friends had been involved with the expedition. Friends will only do this with your explicit consent (see form above).

Sharing Your Information

Friends of Imperial College do not and will not share your information with any other organisation except HMRC, commissioned Event Organisers and Imperial College London.

HMRC - If you make a GiftAid donation to Friends we will share necessary personal information with HMRC as required to claim the GiftAid from them.

Event Organisers - if you book an event where we have commissioned an Event Organiser (eg Travel Agent) to manage aspects of the event, we will share the necessary information with them. We will advise you of this at the time of booking or as soon as possible thereafter.

Imperial College London - The sharing of information with the College will be in accordance with a data sharing agreement between Friends and the College, is at the sole discretion of the Friends Trustees and your personal information would only be shared if you give your explicit consent (see form above).

Should this list be expanded we would advise you and seek your explicit consent before sharing any information.
