The new KPMG Data Observatory has immense data processing capacity...

The new KPMG Data Observatory, the largest in Europe, allows observers to visualise everything from crypto-currency transactions to migration patterns. Using a circular array of 64 screens powered by 32 computers, it has immense data processing capacity, allowing users to see hitherto unobservable data patterns.

The timetable for this Behind-the-scenes is as follows:

  • 18.00 – 18.15 Members arrivals / Welcome at William Penney Building, South Kensington Campus, Imperial College London, location 15 on the map here
  • 18.15 – 18.45 Welcome from Professor Yike Guo.  Introduction to the new KPMG Data Observatory
  • 18.45 –19.45 Member tour, viewing and demos by researchers
  • 19.45 -20.30 Refreshments and continued discussions.
