Science tour to the Netherlands

ESTEC

Exclusively for Members and their guests

Another fascinating, hand-picked, international science tour for Members based around the leading scientific and engineering facilities around Leiden.

Friends Chair and Trustee, Professor David Southwood CBE is leading this science tour to Leiden, visiting ESTEC, the European Space Research and Technology Centre, the Technical University Delft with its world beating hydraulics laboratory, the Maeslett Storm Surge Barrier, the Leiden Old Observatory and neighbouring Hortus Botanicus.

We had to take the disappointing decision to postpone the planned 2020 tour and it is now scheduled for Wednesday 27 April to Sunday 1 May 2022. This is obviously dependent on the any guidelines for travel at the time.

Current participants on the 2020 tour will get first refusal for the April 2022 tour, we will then open it up to other Members.

If you are interested in joining the tour - finding out further details including the tour itinerary, accommodation and event fees - please email our Administrator, admin@friendsofimperial.org.uk.

We can then get back in touch once we know how many places we have left.

This event is now fully booked. If you would be interested in an event like this in the future please email admin@friendsofimperial.org.uk
