Additional Terms and Conditions relating to Membership

Membership payment and duration

People paying a membership fee are Members of Friends of Imperial College (Members). Their membership covers a period of one year from the date of purchase.

Membership is non-transferable and non-refundable. Your membership will be confirmed on the date of purchase.

Your membership can only be used by the named member or for the named member plus one other person for joint membership.

If a Member wants to cancel a renewable membership, please notify us prior to the start of the month in which your renewal is due.

Membership benefits

Membership benefits are listed on the Friends website and may change from time to time. Discounts provided by Imperial College London or other parties are discretionary and intended as additional benefits for people who join as Members in order to support Friends and to participate in our programme of events.

Friends reserves the right to terminate membership for people joining solely to receive a discount.

Members might be asked for a proof of identity when you claim a discount or other benefit.

Members are encouraged to book event tickets in advance. There is no reserved allocation for Members.

Membership termination

Friends reserves the right, at our discretion, to refuse entry and/or membership and/or to revoke membership without refund if a member behaves in a threatening or abusive manner towards any person or organisation associated with Friends, or acts in a manner which in Friends sole opinion brings the Friends into disrepute.

We reserve the right to revoke your membership at any time, without financial compensation, if you commit any breach of these terms and conditions.

Friends reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time.
